H.R. MacMillian Space Centre is the astronomy museum located in Vanier Park. Along with an observatory, the museum features interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, games in the Cosmic Courtyard and a theatre. With some recent renovations and expansions, this is a popular tourist attraction in the downtown area.
The Capilino Suspension Bridge is a unique bridge suspending across the Capilino River just north of downtown Vancouver. Guests can walk across the bridge for breathtaking views, as well as take ecotours through the main rainforest trails and gardens. You will also find the largest First Nations exhibit featuring totem poles, period decor and costumes.
Stanley Park is a 1,001 acre park that is located downtown Vancouver. This park is known for being almost completely surrounded by water and a walkway called “The Vancouver Sea Wall,” that takes approximately 2-3 hours to walk. In the park, you can also find a miniature train, an aquarium, lagoons and plenty of trails.
For the sports lover, Hamilton is home to the OHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs playing at First Ontario Centre. If you are a football fan, you can catch a Tiger Cats game at Tim Hortons field or attend the Canadian Football Museum. Chedoke Golf Course is also located downtown, and 18 hole course with beautiful scenery.
